Online ad agency: First bilingual portal on IPL

AS MAXIMISING brand image and profits are increasingly becoming difficult day by day, promotions for products and services are being performed through an advanced layer of media - internet.

An online advertisement agency proliferates brand image of a business throughout the arena of World Wide Web (WWW). With such advertisement agencies, a business or a service provider can crawl into the sphere of global exposure from local exposure and can touch targeted client base belonging to any part of the world. If your product is hugely in demand outside your country, let online advertisement agencies take your products off to where they are wanted.

So, what is the most enticing feature of an online ad world? While a television advertisement, roadside campaign, print advertisement or a radio advertisement lags due to the limitation of media, an advertisement on internet often expands from internet to these media, as well to captivate targeted viewers' minds. If you have a product or want to make money swiftly, launch it through website and market it through online advertising and marketing companies for widest possible exposure.

As DLF Indian Premiere League (IPL) tournament 2008 has taken a storm, a recent online advertisement agency has tapped to the rage for the game for branding their business by coming up with a portal. An online advertisement agency launched the first bilingual cricket site in India.

From news and views to insights and entertainment related to the event are all under coverage of this site to generate unremitting latest reports in Hindi and English. With this site, horizon of online advertisement agency expands to show its clientele brighter prospective in market penetration and profit generation to outshine their counterparts.

Jeremy Snape snapped up by the IPL to help players with mind games

Jeremy Snape became the latest English link with the Indian Premier League (IPL) after being granted permission by Leicestershire to join Rajasthan Royals as high-performance coach. Snape, who is contracted to play only one-day cricket for the county in his testimonial season, is due to leave for Jaipur today and will return on May 2.

The opportunity arose through Manoj Badale, who is part-owner of the franchise and has been involved on the marketing side at Grace Road through Investors in Cricket, the London-based company that specialises in the creation and management of sports rights.

Snape, 34, has played in ten one-day internationals and also appeared for England in the ICC World Twenty20 last year. The all-rounder expects to feature in warm-up matches but his main role is to prepare players on the mental side. The Royals will include Shane Warne, Graeme Smith and Younis Khan as well as Dimitri Mascarenhas, and part of Snape's challenge is to help the lower-profile Indian players to cope with the pressure.

"This is a brilliant challenge," Snape, who was called into the England backroom set-up at the 2007 World Cup and has his own sports psychology company, said. "I will be fascinated to see how a team comes together from scratch. I am sure I will learn as much from them as they will from me."

England's top international cricketers have discussed joining the IPL and would hope to play in the competition in future years, Alastair Cook said yesterday. The 23-year-old became the second England player after Kevin Pietersen to speak out in favour of the 20-over league. Cook said that the IPL had "obviously been discussed" in the England dressing-room. "It's excellent for cricket that there's such interest," he said. "If it goes well then it can only benefit cricket. If the opportunity does arise to play in it then I'm sure people will play. But I know that every one of those people who were in New Zealand are fully committed to playing for England and I don't think they would jeopardise their chances of playing."

Chris Adams, the most successful captain in county cricket in recent times, wants the ECB to consult leaders of industry before formulating a response to the threat that the IPL has presented to the English game. The ECB's Structure Review Group is about to reveal its proposals, which may include a star-studded Twenty20 league of its own.

Adams, who has led Sussex to the county championship three times, counsels caution. "It will be interesting to see what they come up with but if I was them I would be holding fire and saying, 'Right, let's make sure we get this absolutely right,'" he said. "I would be talking to the heads of industry and saying, 'Look, if this was your business, what would you do?'"

England continue tour despite bomb blasts

England's tour of Sri Lanka will continue as planned despite two bomb attacks in the capital, Colombo, on Wednesday, a spokesman told Cricinfo.

However, the spokesman added that team officials would continue to monitor the situation, in consultation with the British High Commission.

The England squad is currently in Kandy, away from the scene of the explosions, which took place within ten hours of each other in the heart of the city, killing at least 16 people.

The team is due to return to Colombo on December 6, ahead of the second Test at the SSC, but as yet there are no concerns about the safety of the players or travelling support.

"We have spoken to the High Commission and at present their travel advice remains the same," said England's media liaison officer, Andrew Walpole.

"As things stand, this will not affect the tour, although we are certainly not going to be complacent about security and we will keep the situation under review." The first blast occurred at around 9am, outside the department of welfare in the southern outskirts of the city.

The perpetrator, an elderly female, died in the blast, along with the personal secretary of her target, the welfare minister, Douglas Devananda.

The second took place in the city's busy Nugegoda district, when a security guard opened a suspect package outside a popular clothing store.

Security in Sri Lanka has been on high alert for several months, ever since the fragile peace between the government and the separatist Tamil Tigers began to crumble in early 2006.

In August of that year, South Africa's one-day squad pulled out of a triangular tournament in the country following a blast that killed seven and injured 17.

The attacks come a day after the leader of the Tamil Tigers, Velupillai Prabhakaran, used his annual remembrance address to warn that hopes for peace in the country were "naive".
